This week’s issue covers how to disable auto updates on your system, which gives you control of your auto update process. As explained in last week’s issue, in Version X.2, each time a user logs into FirePrograms, the program checks for any available updates. |

Disabling Auto Updates
- To disable auto updates, open System Setup, select a User Account by highlighting it and clicking change or by double-clicking on the account.
- Click General Settings on the left hand side of the screen. On the right hand side of the screen, you will see an Updates section.
- Check the box to Disable Auto Updates for the selected user.
- Repeat this process for each FirePrograms user whom you do not want to be prompted when an update is available.
- If auto updates have been disabled for a user, going to Help > Check for Updates will not prompt that user if an update is available either.
-
Disabling updates for specific users allows you to control who or if anyone receives the auto update message as once the update has been applied on one computer, it must be applied on each computer before it can launch FirePrograms again.
